Many Christian Scientists may have heard of the Busy bees, but not known much about them. Maurine Campbell has preserved a wonderful account of these precious children that so loved Christian Science that they stepped up to help bring funds toward the building effort of the Mother Church.
Maurine Campbell came into Christian Science through a physical healing. Maurine knew the Truth when she not only saw it, but felt it. In her self-effacement, she asked to be used by God to help prosper this mighty swelling Cause of Christ-healing.
The truly inspirational almost seems mundane after it happens so frequently, as it did then. Yet there was always the sense of gratitude that accompanied effort, resulting in the proverbial “loaves and fishes”. How grateful we all can be that such stories as this have not been lost.
